Terms of use
Last updated 17 October 2026
This website and its data API are provided by Vertova Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17462329) ("we"). By using them you agree to these terms.
The information
Term dates, fees, admissions details and bus routes are gathered from councils' and schools' own published pages and checked against those pages before we show them. School details (address, ages, boarding and so on) come from the Department for Education's register of schools, under the Open Government Licence.
Schools and councils change their information, and published pages sometimes contain mistakes. We show where each item comes from and when we last checked it, but we can't guarantee it is complete, current or correct. Always confirm dates, fees and admissions requirements with the school before relying on them, for example before booking a holiday or applying.
Spotted something wrong? Tell us and we'll check and fix it.
Using the pages and calendar feeds
Families can use the pages and calendar subscriptions free for personal use.
Using the data API
- Free API keys may be used for personal and non-commercial projects, up to the monthly limit, with a visible credit and link to termwise.vertova.co.uk.
- Commercial use (in a product or service, or internal business use) needs a paid plan or licence.
- Keep your key private. Don't share it, publish it or use several free keys to get round the limit.
- Don't copy the data by automated means outside the API or a licence, including from the site's pages or internal data files, or overload the service.
- We may change free-key limits, and suspend keys that break these terms.
Paid plans
Paid plans are billed through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time from the account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A bulk licence covers internal use by the licensee for twelve months.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from reliance on the information, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
