11+ entrance test
Plymouth Girls' Grammar Schools 11+ (DHSG and PHSG)
Devonport High School for Girls and Plymouth High School for Girls use the same test papers on the same days, and families register at only one of the two schools. There is no pass mark: places go to the highest-ranked girls who list a girls' grammar school on their council application.

- Quest Assessments. One English paper (multiple choice, 40 minutes, 60 questions: reading comprehension plus spelling, punctuation and grammar; no writing) and two Maths papers (multiple choice: a 10-minute fluency paper and a 30-minute reasoning paper, 60 questions in total). Verbal, non-verbal and spatial reasoning are not tested.
