Selective school: Year 7 entry is by an entrance test (the 11+). Registration for the test usually closes in the summer of Year 5.

For the sixth form, apply to the school directly.

How many families applied: Year 7

For September 2026, 163 families put this school as their first choice, and 172 places were offered. 160 of the families who put it first got a place (98%).

Offers made on national offer day, from the Department for Education. Waiting lists and appeals can change things later. The hardest schools to get into.

11+ entrance test

This school uses Wirral assessment for grammar school education, a shared test used by 3 other schools. Your child sits one test, and the result is shared with every school in the group that you apply to.
